Running Totals for Time Periods

Hi guys. I am working on a table that drives data from multiple datasets. I am using a column with  report dates that cover periods from 10/01/2021 through 03/01/2023. I am trying to figure out it is feasible to run totals only through the current report date each month by keeping subsequent report dates with blank totals. In other words, to make a hard stop at a current report date when calculating cumulative totals.  For instance, the current report date is 09/01/2022, and I would like to calculate cumulative totals for period starting 10/01/2021 through 09/01/2022 and no totals calculated for any date past 09/01/2022.  Thank you.
