Row level values are blank, but grand total has value

Creating measure with filter applied based on different table. Below is the measure.

Var vPeriod =CALCULATE(max(table1(Period))

Var vYear =CALCULATE(max(table1(Year))

return

CALCULATE(AVERAGE(table2(field),table1(Period) = vPeriod, table1(Year)=vYear-1)

When I use the measure with Period1 and Year1 field in a table, it works well. We also have another Table1(Timeline). We need to use measure with Table(Timeline). When we bring measure with Table1(Timeline), measure values at row level disappears, but still show grand total. Can anyone help?

Does Table1(Timeline) and Table(Timeline) have relationships in between?If possible,could you pls provide some sample data with expected output?

@Anonymous it depends how tables are connected and how you are viewing the data, share data model, with sample data and expected output, it is very hard to understand what is going wrong here.
