Hello Guys,
Can someone please help me understand how to compare the values in two columns and display the result in a new column.
Here is the condition:
If column A & column B have values, return 0 in column C
If column A & column B are blank, return 0 in column C
If column A has value & column B is blank, retun 1 in column C
If column A is blank & column B has value, return 1 in colum C
A | B | C |
VALUE | VALUE | 0 |
BLANK | BLANK | 0 |
VALUE | BLANK | 1 |
BLANK | VALUE | 1 |
I would be greatful if someone can help me figure out how this can be done.

Try this column
C = IF ( OR ( AND ( ISBLANK ( TableName[A] ), ISBLANK ( TableName[B] ) ), AND ( NOT ( ISBLANK ( TableName[A] ) ), NOT ( ISBLANK ( TableName[B] ) ) ) ), 0, 1 )
Try this column
C = IF ( OR ( AND ( ISBLANK ( TableName[A] ), ISBLANK ( TableName[B] ) ), AND ( NOT ( ISBLANK ( TableName[A] ) ), NOT ( ISBLANK ( TableName[B] ) ) ) ), 0, 1 )
