Hello There,
I hope you all are doing well.
I'm currently in the process of working on one of my Power BI reports, which involves a hierarchical data structure with three levels in rows: Crop, Crop Type, and Field.
My objective here is to implement two distinct background colors for subtotals at the Crop and Crop Type levels, thereby enabling users to easily distinguish between them.
The challenge I'm encountering is that while Power BI offers the option to apply formatting to specific rows, I've noticed that this feature seems to be disabled when I select any specific row like crop.
I'm uncertain whether this is a bug or if there's something I might be missing.
Your insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Igna for responding however.
There is no option to apply conditional formating for row level subtotal.
Hello,
This is because you are looking in the "Format your visual" pane and not in the "Add data to your visual". Take a look at this video 🙂 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfL3aniCl8o

Hello,
To solve your problem I would create a measure :
Background Color =
IF(ISINSCOPE(YourTable[Crop]), 1,
IF(ISINSCOPE(YourTable[Crop Type]), 2, 0))
and I would use it in conditional formating. Minimum 1 , maximum 2 and set colors that you want.
Tell me if it helps.
Igna
