Dear All, I am configuring a report in Power BI that requires a password to be entered to access certain pages. The flow is as follows: the user enters the password, clicks “Confirm”, and if the password is correct, he is directed to the next page. Otherwise, you are redirected to an “Incorrect Password” page. However, I noticed that the entered password remains visible even when the user returns to the home screen after an error. I would like to know how to configure the password field so that it is automatically cleared after the attempt, ensuring that the field is blank for a new entry.
Furthermore, I have another question: how can I prevent users from exporting Power BI content, whether in PowerPoint, PDF or any other format? I need to restrict these options to ensure data security. Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to your guidance. Thank you for the assistance.
Hi, @Viniciusmelo25
There is no support in Desktop for features like entering a password and jumping to a page and having the password automatically erased after jumping to the page, which is what you want. I think you can try to use RLS to configure whether the user can access the page or not.
Documentation on RLS settings:
Row-level security (RLS) in Power BI Report Server - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
If you want to prevent users from exporting Power BI content, you can make export/share settings in the Admin portal.
Best Regards,
Yang
