Resize pie chart

Hello,

I have 12 departments, and I want to visualize their percentages using a pie chart in Power BI. However, with this many slices, the percentages become difficult to read. Is there a way to resize or adjust the slices to ensure that all percentages are displayed clearly,

I prefer to stick with the pie chart for this visualization. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you !

With that much category, a pie chart isn't really a good idea. I would use a table with gradient/data bars formatting on the values or a column/bar chart.

@Lolo_2023

Use a calculated column or measure to group smaller slices into an "Others" category:

Grouped Department =
IF(
[Percentage] < 5,
"Others",
'Departments'[Department]
)

While still a circular chart, a doughnut chart offers better visual balance for a high number of slices.

💌 If this helped, a Kudos 👍 or Solution mark would be great! 🎉

Hello @Lolo_2023 ,

You try the below label customization.

Enable Data Labels Customization

  1. Go to Format Pane for the pie chart.
  2. Expand the Data Labels section.
  3. Set the Position to Outside End so labels appear outside the slices.
  4. Adjust the Label Density slider to High for better spacing.

Also you try to increase the size of the visual this will not clutter the labels.

If you find this helpful , please mark it as solution which will be helpful for others and Your Kudos/Likes 👍 are much appreciated!

Thank You

@Lolo_2023 , Increase the size of the pie chart so more numbers will be visible. Else "Show as Table" option would also work.
