Hi guys,
I have a report that was initially published as Entire organization. A couple of weeks after launch we decided to restrict access to specific individuals or group. I tested this and users that previously had not used the report would have to request access.
However, after i published with the new access requirements it seems that people that used the report before the new access restrictions still can use it without having to apply for access.
Why? how do I change this?

In addition, after clearing the permissions, you can try to update the data to see if the users who had access before, and then cleared the permissions can see the latest data, they can access before may also be the browser records of the cash.

Thank you for your help. It was a simple error. I was unaware that there was access to the report through a generated link. Once the link to the report was deleted the access to the app worked as intended.
Hmm not very many have workspace access... I will try to edit some permissions and see if I can solve it. Thanks for your reply.

You need to adjust your workspace role permissions.
Refer the below:
Remove user:
As described in your image, users or groups that have access to the workspace have access to the app.
