Report Performance

I built a report based on cube created in the analysis services tabular model. There is a specific page level filter needs to be applied at PBIX level.

The biggest challenge here is performance completely downgraded when apply the page level filter at PBIX level. Are there any best practises and suggestions to avoid this situation.

Is the report filter part of the precomputed Cube members?  If not then you need to ask the cube owner to include that to avoid passthrough queries to the underlying database.
