Report Layout Differences may exist

Hello,

I have the latest version of power bi desktop installed (2.122.746.0) but when I try and open my report (downloaded from the service) I get the following error:

"This Power BI report file may have some features that aren't available in Power BI Desktop until the next release"

Why am I getting this error if i am on the latest desktop release?

yes, you are on the latest but because you downloaded a report that was created using the last version, it shows this.

check the version of the downloaded one if it matches this 2.122.746.0

Hi, it seems that this error is happening again after the APRIL release. Do you know what is happening and how to fix it?  For all reports that i download from Service and Open in Desktop, i'm getting the error message below. even if i click ok, the worst is that Matrix table object is impacted.....

i'm in the last verson on desktop : 2.128.1380.0 64-bit (April 2024)

Yes the downloaded one is newer... does that mean we cannot edit the report in the Desktop app until Novembers desktop app is released?

Looks like there was just a delay between MS updating the service and them releasing the updated Desktop app, a new version just came out and now the error has gone away.
