Replicate Excel table in Power BI

Hello All,

I want to create a Table matrix in Power BI as similar to the screen attached. We have names of the measures in the first column(Measure Names) and values of that based on the type of calculation(Like YTD, Prior Month/Period, Current Month/Period).

How to achieve this kind of table in Power BI?

Excel works on the cell level and thus we can create it easily, but in Power BI it works on the full column. Please help me with this.

Thanks

Shubs

    Hi Anonymous,

I'd like some sample data for test, you can upload it to onedrive or google drive and share link here.

      Hi Anonymous,

Thanks for your response. But, I can't share the data because of some security. Let me explain my scenario.

Let say I have 4 measures as Total Sales, Total Purchase, Total GM, and Total GM%. Now, I will create time comparison like YTD, MTD, Prior Month, Current month etc for each of these 4 measures which will work with the date range selected.

Now, I want to display it in Power BI with the help of Table Matrix as I have to replicate the Excel in the Power BI. We all know that excel functions work on each cell while DAX works on the full column. So I need to create something to achieve this case, maybe some summarize table or something.

I am not sure how to achieve this in Power BI. Can you please help me with this?

      Thanks

      Shubham

        HI Anonymous,

How about share some fake data with same data structure? It is hard to coding formula without any data structure.
