Replace Values

Hi All,

I have uploaded my dataset into Power BI and are using the Power Query editor to change cell values. This worked fine but when new data is entered into the dataset the values are not being replaced with my 'replace value' settings.

Any ideas on how to automate this? For example if I were replacing "blue" values to "red", any time a new line containing "blue" would automatically be replaced to "red".

Hope this is clear.

Many thanks,

Elliot

Hi @Anonymous,

Maybe you can try to parameterize the 'replace value' function string with a query parameter, then you can change the query parameter to achieve dynamic replace effects.

If you've used the 'Replace Values' from the column header and everything else is equal, it will work.  So something is different about the new data (e.g. case)

As you said the Replacevalue is part of the Query transformation so any new data added should go through the replace value process, can you share the M code?
