Hello,
Encountering an issue for a number of fields in the Table View, where I am presented with the error:
The formula for the field is: TEST XXXXXXXXXXXXXX = "XX". So literally not referencing another table, the name is unique to the table and all tables within the model.
This also occurs for fields that use "related" such as: Origin = related(pbiitem[Origin]).
To be clear, I can click away from the field and it works, just not expected behavior having that pop up.
Any suggestions/advice welcome. Thanks
Hello @Anonymous ,
Thank you for your considered response. Apologies for the delay in mine.
I have investigated and tried your suggestions, but without success. For context the majority of my data sources are through online services > Dynamics 365 Business Central, both custom apis and standard apis. I have replicated in a separate file just with the standard apis and separately the custom apis, so wondering if it is related to this.
Thanks anyway.
Hi @jazza8300 ,
It seems to be working fine through my testing.
Here are some suggestions to resolve this issue:
1.Update power bi desktop to the latest version.
2.Check for Hidden Columns or Measures: Sometimes, hidden columns or measures might have the same name you're trying to use. These might not be immediately visible in the default view. Ensure to check all hidden items in your model for name conflicts.
3.Review Step Dependencies in Power Query Editor: If the column you're renaming is used in subsequent steps or calculations, ensure those references are updated to reflect the new name. Power BI might flag a name conflict if a subsequent step fails due to a missing column (the old name).
4.Ensure that there are no hidden characters or spaces in the column names.
Best Regards,
Neeko Tang
