Hi there,
I have been trying to solve this already for some time – so far unsuccessfully. I use DirectyQuery to retrieve real time data. I want to sum over a column. The result of this is then filtered by a simple binary filter (IsCurrentMonth). The visualisation accordingly shows only the sum of all values for the current month. However, if there are no values in the table for the current month and the filter returns "0", the visualisation shows a very unaesthetic blank. I have been trying to remove this with custom measures or columns, but nothing works. Any hints?
Best,
a
Are you talking about how it shows (Blank) in a visual instead of 0? The trick I've seen tossed around the forums here is to add + 0 to the end of your measurement.
Hi Dan,
thanks for your reply. Yes, I am talking about the visual (Blank). I do the filtering in the visualisation pane. The filter is a simple if-then filter which returns 0 if the condition is not met. Instead of "(Blank)", I would like to display "0" or even a short text. I have been trying several ways to achieve this, including other measures etc., but it seems that due to the use of DirectQuery there are not many options.
I really appreciate any hint on how this can be solved since the "(Blank)" display is very misleading. It looks like there is an error in the report each time a new month starts.
Best,
