Remove aggregation for gauge visual with PowerBI Semantic model (streaming dataset)

Hi! I am creating a gauge on powerBI desktop using a powerBI sematic model (streaming dataset) and I want to show real-time data. Although I have selected the no calculation onpton, powerbi still aggregates all data. I want to show the latest data and not the aggregation. How do I implement this?

  • Hi efjw ,

For that you need to create a measure that pick up the latest data depending on the setup and the calculation you need it may be something similar to this:

    Current Value = CALCULATE ( SUM(Table[Column]), FILTER(ALL(Calendar), Calendar[Date] = MAX(Table[Date]))

Be aware that I do not know how you have your model so this may not be the correct syntax.

Hi! MFelix I am currently using a streaming dataset thus I am unable to create a measure. Do you know any workaround for this? Thanks 🙂

        Hi efjw ,

Have you tried using the filter pane and add the date and use the advance filter to get the data in the last 1 day?

    Hi efjw ,

Did MFelix's  answer address your question? For streaming datasets, I think the filter pane is great.
