Relative date slicer - display selected dates in CARD

Hi all,

I have a RELATIVE DATE SLICER and a CARD visual to display the date being selected in date slicer.

RELATIVE DATE SLICER sourced from date dimension table.

Issue:

Though in RELATIVE DATE SLICER I've selected last 1 year date range, due to other connected transaction tables which has only last 4 months data, the CARD displays selected value (MIN & MAX) only from connected transaction tables. But my need is CARD to display whatever range selected in RELATIVE DATE SLICER to display irrespective of connected  transaction tables.

Current situation

RELATIVE DATE SLICER  --> 1/1/2018 to 9/1/2018

Connected Transaction table date column have --> (Min date) 4/1/2018 / (Max date) 7/1/2018

CARD currently displays --> 4/1/2018 to 7/1/2018

Exepcted situtation

RELATIVE DATE SLICER  --> 1/1/2018 to 9/1/2018

Connected Transaction table date column have --> (Min date) 4/1/2018 / (Max date) 7/1/2018

CARD Exepcted display --> 1/1/2018 to 9/1/2018 (Irrespective of connected tables it should show user selected date range)

Thanks in Advance! TPS

In the Demention Table(DateTable) create the respective measure.

Max(Date)

Min(Date)

Use the above Measures in the Card

Note:- Above dax should be pointing the same Date fied you are using in the Date Slicer.

Hi @tps136,

If it is convenient, could you share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)

I've mistakenly enabled "Both" filter in relation between DateDimenesion and Transaction table date column.

After correcting that and with your solution, problem solved .. It worked..

Thank you ..
