Relationship error between mutliple tables

Hi All,

I have 5 tables and created pivot for 3 of those tables and provided relationship between them with the help of IDs. However, when I try to add columns from non pivoted tables it throws "Can't display the data because power bi can't dtermine relationship " error.

When added columns from Sdata and Staff table it throws the above error. Please find the power bi link provided.

Hi @labuser1235 ,

I just tried converting your relationships to bi-directional and the visual worked:

Visual looks fine now without any errors:

Hope this helps.

If this helps and resolves the issue, appreciate a Kudos and mark it as a Solution! 🙂

@Pragati11 Thank you so much it actually worked on the demo file. However, when I tried on the main file it failed and throws the same error despite after the change in every relationship as bi-directional.

What else it could be any help on this regards.

@Pragati11 I was able to achieve it only after changing every relationship from one to many to many to many including bidirectional.

Does it make sense it changing all the relationships ??? I am getting the result however, being very skeptical about it.

Hi @labuser1235 ,

Sometime relationships need to be bi-directional depending on the information you are trying to pull from related table based on selection from base table.

If this helps and resolves the issue, appreciate a Kudos and mark it as a Solution! 🙂
