Relationship between two sources

Hi,

I'm still rather new to PowerBI, and I've ran into an issue.

I have two datasets - A has clients with only one distinct identificator - name (new identificators cannot be added at the moment). B has names and registry codes. Both A and B have clients who are only in the one dataset and also clients who are in both, but the names might be different. Since I want to visualise data that has clients of both A and B, I figured I could just make a new table, like this.

I tried to add the relationship from the clients of A to column Database A and from the registry codes of B to column Registry code, but it only gives the relationship many-to-many, even though to my mind it would be one (table) to many (B). Do I have to make separate tables for both databases or am I missing something?

Hi @martti ,

The relationship based on the sample table works as expected on my side, this issue may because there are some duplicate data in the column Registry code of new table, try to put the column Registry code in new table and the following measure into a table visual to find it out:

HasSameValue =
IF ( COUNTROWS ( 'Table' ) > 1, "Yes", BLANK () )

BTW, pbix as attached.
