Relationship between two different visuals (inside the same page).

Hi all;

Need help.

Currently, the visuals below is showing Sum of Inventories filtered by Mth End Close (Month End Close) & Corporate BU (Business Units).

Mth End Close: months eg; Jul2023, Aug2023, Sep2023....so on & so forth.

Corporate BU: referring to: Renewable Energy/ Construction/ Properties/ Plantation/ Manufacturing

Inventories - referring to stock holding as at the end of a particular month.

If i want to show inventories across different Corporate BU & across different month; then visual#1  makes sense as it will show the trend of stock holding.

However, visual #2 is distorted because it ADDS UP the inventories across different months.

Hence, IF the filter is Month End Close; ALL -> then, how to blank out Visual #2??

Also, IF the user clicks on say -> Apr2024 (Orange Color) which depicts Renewable Energy -> then, can Visual #2 shows the level of inventories by Customer inside the business unit (Renewable Energy) for Apr2024?

Hi @kancs9128

Please try the following DAX:

Inventory  =
    IF(
        ISFILTERED('Date'[Month End Close]) &&
        SELECTEDVALUE('Date'[Month End Close]) = "ALL",
        BLANK(),
        SUM('Inventory'[Inventories])
    )

This measure will check if the "Month End Close" filter is set to "ALL" and, if so, return blank; otherwise, it will sum the inventories.

Best Regards,

Jayleny

Hi

I applied this formulae:

MthEndClose_Filter = if(isfiltered(MasterData_Eval[Mth End Close])&&selectedvalue(MasterData_Eval[Mth End Close])="ALL",Blank(),sum(MasterData_Eval[Inv ($ USD)]))

But then, if the user does not filter out the column [Mth End Close] - and this shows "ALL" as per the printscreen below, the formulae seems unable to work. I still get summation of all the inventories across all the months.
There is no blank inside the visual!

this is after putting in the measure inside the filter.

Hi - "Month End Close" filter is set to "ALL"

but then, when applying the formulae - still unable to get Blank ().

Hi Jayleny, how do i "whack" this DAX into the visual? Can illustrate step by step?
