I have two tables and I have tried to establis relationship between the two, but it is not working. What is the best way to establish relationship between two tables?

There should be a common column between the two tables so you could do a relationship between them, like Customer ID from table 1 with customer ID with table 2.
Also you could work on your model to make it a starschema model view
