Related function not showing table

Hello,

I'm trying to write a simple dax function to multiply the noofunits from the pallet_detail table by the quantity in the bill_of_material_packaging_item table, but when I write the function, it doesn't find this as related?

Packaging Units = sumx(bi_Pallet_DetailV,bi_Pallet_DetailV[NoOfUnits]*RELATED(sw_Bill_Of_Material_Packaging_ItemT[QUANTITY))))

Can someone help to explain why this won't work?  I thought as long as each table is linked via relationships then you can grab the relational data.  Confused.

@CAB80 , related only to work 1 level.  A-B -C is 1-M again 1-M

Then you can copy only from A-B and not from A-C
