Regarding Direct query

Hi,

I would like to ask one thing that Is direct query takes more time than import query ?
asking this because I am using a database with 6 lakh rows with direct query mode, so when I am creating measures for my report , single measure is taking around 30 minutes for displaying the result (for measure execution).

Is it so ?
Is there any special way of working with direct query ?
Thanks !

Hi @Anonymous ,

It all depends on what kind of measure you are using, how many data you are using for calculation,it cant be simply saying that direct query takes more time than import query.30 minutes is really a long period, you'd better find a way to optimize it.

Best Regards,
Kelly
