Refresh for Direct Query

Hi All,

I have a requirement to create a report using direct query mode. The report will then be available to the users in their own company portal as the users do not have access to the Power BI service. Report will be set to refresh once a day at 8AM. Could someone please provide insights on the below

1. The report has slicers and when the users apply the slicers, will be report be refreshed with the latest data or will the the data as of 8AM? (Note: Report is available on a different portal and not Power BI portal)
2. What is the maximum limit of the data using direct query 
3. When the users export data, what are the chances of failing i.e., what is the maximum size a user can export using direct query.

@poojithas , why do you need to refresh in case of a direct query(because it will send a query to the database) ? It is mixed-mode model?

The direct query can not have resultsets bigger than 10M rows.

@amitchandak : It is not a mixed model. The report will only be using direct query.  We wanted to schedule refresh as the report is being used from the company portal and not via Power BI service.

• Can the Power BI report in the company portal still show live data if the report is not set to schedule refresh in Power BI service? Note: (there is no refresh option available in the portal) 
• If the users uses slicers from the portal, will it still fetch the live data ?
• Also,the article says there is a limit of 1M rows. If I would want to show data more than 1M rows in a table, how can we achieve this?
