Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how to solve this error:
This is the error that power bi gives me when I try to refresh a report online. I have the incremental refresh configured, the native query is working perfectly, and I have the data filtered to just appear the last 3 months. Also, the incremental refresh gives me the data from last day. So, in terms of performance, I though this could help a lot. I can always refresh the report on the desktop, but when I try to do it online, it always gives me the same error.
Thanks a lot
Hi, how do I do that?
Thanks
- install DAX Studio
- run it and connect to the dataset via the XMLA endpoint URI (you can get that from the Server settings in the dataset's settings page)
- View...Metrics
- click on partitions
- observe the number of partitions (needs to be more than one for the incremental refresh tables)
- check the last processed date for each partition
I can always refresh the report on the desktop
When you do that you must be aware that if you choose to publish the report to the workspace this will reset the incremental refresh process.
Use DAX Studio or SSMS to validate that Incremental refresh is setup correctly and working, by comparing the refresh timestamps of your partitions. If they are the same or you only see one partition then incremental refresh is not happening.
