Refresh Dashboard Autmatically

Hey,

I have monthly business report dashboard. The dashboard is created by pinning tiles, tables, pies, and others from the report. Currently I am pinning those charts once in a month manually. At this point I feel like it is tedious and time taking. Could you let me know how to enable automatic refreshes for tiles, pies and tables pinning to dashboard? I would like the dashboard to be refreshed automatically using the latest daily or monthly data. If that is not possible, would let me know any other way to accomplish monthly/daily dashboard?

Hi @Gashaw,

Once the dataset is updated, any visualizations in your reports or dashboards based on the data are updated automatically.

If you want the dashboard to be refreshed automatically using the latest daily or monthly data, you should make sure the dataset is updated on schedule. If your connection makes use of a live connection or DirectQuery, the data will be update to date. But, in other cases, like with an Excel workbook or Power BI Desktop file that connects to an external online or on-premises data source, you’ll need to refresh manually or setup a refresh schedule (using gatewat) so Power BI can refresh the data in your reports and dashboards.
