Reading Errors

Hello,

I'm new to Power BI and I'm receiving an error in the power query that I'm trying to understand how to fix it. It's telling me where the error is located (Error in TB_BrokersSTP).

In the formula window it shows:

= Table.ReorderColumns(#"Kept Errors", {"Row Number", "Broker", "Total", "Exact Matched Vol", "Exact Matched %", "Mismatched %", "Manually Matched Vol", "Manual Matched %", "Near Matched Vol", "Near Matched %", "Not Matched Vol", "Not Matched %", "Other Vol", "Other %", "Date", "Dates"})

Can you tell me what this is telling me? This query is an appended query from several queries.

Hi @WILLIH ,

Which kind of error did your get? Could you please share the screen shot of that. BTW, please share more details of your M code.

Hi @v-frfei-msft

Here is a snap shot of the error.PowerBI Error.PNG

Hi @WILLIH,

Without seeing more of the data, I can't be 100% sure but this has helped me in the past so I'm offering it here just in case:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/error-message-after-building-query-returns-zero-rows-in-the...

Basically, if you are getting error messages but there are no error rows showing in Power Query, check your column data types. If that doesn't work, maybe provide more of your M code (prior to the error) for more clues.

Good luck!
