Hi friends,
I have imported Queries and Model from Excel file and built reports in Desktop
Now I have slightly changed a model in Excel so it shouldn't affect the reports
When I Import again to Desktop - it deletes the reports
Please help

When importing Excel Workbook into Power BI Desktop, once the data model is loaded into the Power BI Desktop file has no dependence on the original Excel workbook, and can be modified or changed (and saved, and shared) without affecting the original workbook. So whatever structural changes in your source workbook model (like adding tables) can't be updated into .pbix. You have to re-import it.

@v-sihou-msftis correct, so you should not remove or modify header name of data model in excel.
but I would like to add one additional information that you could add new columns/fields in excel and refresh your data model in Query Editor, it will add new columns for you. I think this is change in excel model that PBI Query Editor supports to reflect.

Check if there is change in the column names and the data types in the data model .
