Hi everyone,
I have a table with student name, subject, exam type and exam grade. I would like to create a rank measure/column that ranks each pupils exam grades by exam type.
If two grades are the same the rank value needs to be consecutive e.g. Student 1, exam grade 9 = 1, exam grade 9 = 2, exam grade 8 = 3 and so on.
I think this screenshot helps explain what I am trying to do more clearly:
I've had a few attempts at RankX but can't get the correct result!
Thanks for any help!
Matt
Hi,
Share the link from where i can download your PBI file.
Hi there,
Thanks for offering your help. I've cleaned all the data but I'm pretty sure everything that is required is in there.
Thanks again.
Matt
Hi,
I am confused. In your original screenshot, there was a simple Table. In your PBI file, there is a matrix. In the matrix, where do youw ant to see the rank. Be as clear as possible for me to assist you.
Hi,
When i download the PBI file from that link, i still see the same matrix and there is no measure that you have written in that file.
VPN issues - the file has synced now.
Thanks
Matt
