Rank is equal with same numbers, I want random - Any Ideas?

Hello,

I have created a pareto chart with my data, however i have noticed there are occurances where the value o am ranking can be equal for different items I am measuring. This is making the rank equal, and altering my cumulative percentage function.

I would like the equal ranks to be randomly picked, in the screenshot below, I don't care which item is 1st or 2nd, i would just like them to be decided so that the cumulative total will work.

in the screenshot below, my first two items have a result of 155.

I would need:

rank 1 -> cumulative total 155

rank 2 -> cumulative total 310

Any ideas?same rank.pngGraph with same rank.png

Do you have any column with unique data?

Apply running total on that column and you will get the result you desire.

Hi @Anonymous ,

As nsrshkh1 said, you need a unique column to calculate it correctly. What do you based on to calculate, date or rank you created?  If you still can't solve it, you could post some sample data and the expected result. Then we can help you as soon as possible.
