Hi All,
I am trying to rank by "type" in a P & L matrix (filtered by year or quarter or month) to allow me to use a funnel plot (or similar) for the top "x" expenses. P & L matrix layout is as below for the first quarter of our current financial year.
Category Account Type July 18 August 18 September 18 Total
Expense Expense Accounting -200 -600 -300 -1100
Cleaning -100 -200 -400 -700
Income Sales Product 1 200 200 200 600
There are only two data tables - a date table and the P & L data in the format
Category Account Type Date Value
Thanks in advance
Peter
HI,
The data is set out in the P & L matrix as in the first post. "Type" is a column heading in the matrix (eg cleaning expense/accounting expense etc). I wish to be able to rank the values (listed under column headings of July 18, August 18 etc) by the various items listed under the column with the heading "type". The once each item is ranked, I want to be able to produce a visual such as a funnel plot only showing the items with the 10 highest or 10 lowest values.
I haven't figured out how to attach actual data or screenshots of the data to the post yet - any advice on this would also be appreciated.
Thanks
Peter
Hi @PeterDeGaris,
Please post some sample data of P & L data table. And what is your expected result? I could not understand how to "rank by type".
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
