Odd question, but has anyone have any ideas of how to hide a field in it's entirety using RLS. For example I don't want a particular set of users to see a column named Gross Margin.

@jzimmem that is indeed odd one. RLS is for row level security and what you're wanting is to hide column. I think closest you can get is hide actual column in pbi desktop by right click column and Hide and create two set of reports. One for normal users and other for users you want to hide that column.
