RLS Formula not working

Hello,

We are trying to implement RLS to our dataset. An employee can see their own data if they have a reporting manager, A manager can see his team's data,but, not others -> this is the requirement.

We used the hierarchy table which has reporting information.

This is our RLS filtering:
Pathcontains(Hierarchy[Path],Maxx(Filter(Hierarchy,[EMAIL] = USERPRINCIPALNAME()), Hierarchy[AGENT]))

We followed the exact method as described here: https://radacad.com/dynamic-row-level-security-with-organizational-hierarchy-power-bi

We are getting syntax error as follows, we followed so many documentations and articles on the same we are unable to get any solution.

Please advice on this asap.

Thank you.

Ok. I didn't see the error message. It's seems a issue on your Path column. You have the same kind of structure that has on the radacad article? 1|3, for example?

Yes, we have the same kind of Organizational Hierarchial data.

Hi,

If you can see in the original post. We tried to create a measure to see where the error/issue is but it just throws an error saying 'The syntax for 'Table' is incorrect'. Not sure what syntax is wrong because it works in the document:Dynamic Row Level Security with Organizational Hierarchy Power BI - RADACAD but not here.

Thank you.

Hi,

My advice is using this DAX formula on a visual card and see what you're getting, because it seems you have a issue in your dax formula.
