i have created one textbox and  added  www.google.com    link.  but when i click on that link nothing happening?

how to navigate this link to google page?

Yes click works when published

But if we want to confirm from within desktop only

Place cursor on the link present in text box

And the link will appear to the right of "Insert link", clicking on it takes us to the linked page.

I believe the link will only work when you publish the report in Power BI service.

I don't think so. Check this out. In the video, at around time 0:52, he seems to say that it will work when published.
