Hey guys,
Im trying to model parts of my NGO-Accounting programm. I have these three tables. Each has unique ID column:
| Members | Outstanding debt | Payments |
| Member_ID | Debt_ID | Payment_ID |
| Surname | Member_ID | Member_ID |
| etc.. | AmountDebt | Debt_ID |
AmontPayments |
Im struggling to connect these table to analyse correctly the data.
This is what I tryed:
PowerBI wouldt allow me to make that connection. Every debt oder payment record has Member_ID. But not every payment record has debt_id:
1) There are members that are entered correctly: one member has one or more open debts that have one or more payments.
but
2) There are members that have depicted debt records, but no entry in payments
3) There are members that have entries in payments, but no depicted debt record.
4) and there are members with no debts and no payments.
How can I model the tables / visialise all cases to have complete overview of what is happening.
Any Ideas are welcomed. Thank you!

@tosho9 I would recommend create a dimension for debt column as well like members and then use that table to connect to payment and outstanding debt tables, and it will do the job.
