Hi All,
My report is in DirectQuery and I have decided to turn on query reduction. I have the "apply all slicers" button and it works great, but unfortunately not for bookmarks. I use bookmark navigator.
What could I do to include the changes made to button navigator also in the query reduction? So changes to visuals would not be applied until "apply all slicers" button is pressed.
Hi @lvcurious ,
Based on the information you provided, you want changes to the visual object not to be applied until the button is pressed.
You can do this in two ways:
1. Uncheck the "Data" option when updating bookmarks to prevent saving the slicer state. Check that bookmarks do not store data that could trigger a query.
2. Create a customized navigation experience using buttons and bookmarks that do not trigger a data refresh until the "Apply all slicers" button is pressed.

Hi @Anonymous,
thank you very much for your reply.
The first option is not helpful in this situation as I need the data to be saved. The second one is what I am trying to do, but I don't know how. I cannot change bookmark navigator to regular buttons with action "bookmark".
I suppose you understand what I am trying to achieve, but here are some visuals from sample data I created for this. I am not able to attach the pbix or xlsx file here.
1. "Apply all slicers" data works only if I select anything in slicers separately.
2. Selecting a button from bookmark navigator already refreshes the data in the filters for "promotion", "sales" and "online". What I would like, is to save the changes and refresh only when "apply all slicers" button is selected.
Could you help with this problem, please?
