Query an ESE Database (Extensible Storage Engine)

Hi,

Does anyone know how/whether you can use PBI Desktop to query the database of an applicaiton that uses ESE (Extensible Storage Engine) ?

At a pinch, I can use the software itself to generate csv outputs which can be queried  by PBI Desktop but was hoping to set up automated refresh.

Many thanks

Brian

I ended up using this utility which allows me to view the tables in the database and to export.

Then needed to write a couple of hexadecimal conversion functions in Power Query to extract the data.
