Query Refresh Versus Query preview ?

Hi,

I have a query refresh that takes a very long time, whereas when I am in the query editor,
the preview is very quick.

Query Editor diagnostic tool :

(almost instant)
"close and apply" -> 30mn ...

What is thre difference between the 2 process so I can undertsand why it does take so much time in the normal refresh .
Or what steps can I do to solve the issue ?

Thank you,
