Query Errors - Added Index then cannot find rows with errors

Hi there,

I am having an issue when I'm trying to refresh an appended table - this table is the result of appending other two tables, with the same column names and structure.

Whenever I refresh the appended table, it comes up with an error message, and when I go into the error, there are four steps - Source/ Added Index/ Kept Errors/ Reordered Columns.

I know that Power BI adds index when there is an error, so that the user can go to the specific row where the error is. The problem is, in my query, after adding index it cannot find the rows with error (maybe that means the error wasn't there to begin with? I don't know) so in the next step 'Kept Errors', it results in a blank table with no rows and I get an error called 'This table is empty'. Then it's trying to reorder the 'Added Index' column which again results in an error.

This is the code of 'Kept Errors' step:

= Table.SelectRowsWithErrors(#"Added Index", {"SKU Description", "Corporation", "Brand", "Sub Brand", "Category", "Segment", "Sub Segment", "Wine Type", "Country of Origin", "Low Alcohol", "Price Segment", "Mainstream vs Premium", "Pack Size", "RSV MAT-1", "RSV MAT", "Units MAT-1", "Units MAT", "Litres MAT-1", "Litres MAT"})

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks

Christie

Hi Christie,

1. What's the error message?

2. Can you share the file? You can mask your data first. There isn't any clue for us to troubleshoot.

Best Regards,

Dale
