Hi
I have read the blog https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/pythonblogepisode1/
I was wondering if there is any progress in the rendering of HTML, saving as a png is not really a solution.
Thanks

Hi @Anonymous
Would you want to convert HTML to an image in PYTHON?
Please find the answer here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5633828/convert-html-to-an-image-in-python

Hi,
Have you managed to come with a POC so far? If so, it would be interesting to share a sample so we could have a look at it. I agree it may not be the best option, but at this stage, being able to add a sort of a "HTML convert as an image"... step in the code may be a temporary solution. Thank you.
Hi Maggie
Thank you for the reply.
What I really want to know is how long untill Microsoft develop support for Python packages that render output in HTML? The blog I quoted makes out it is work in progress towards this.
I want to display an interactive HTML in PowerBI, and it is a big file. You can see it in the link below. Would the png solution maintain full interactivity? If so sorry I hadnt realised png has such power! If it does I cant get that solution to work, I noticed its written for OSX and there seems to be some Linux support but I am using Windows and Python 3, assuming that might be my problem but could be wrong. There has not been any commits to webkit2png since feb 2015 & so its hard to find a solution - I feel like I'm burrowing into a rabit hole trying.
