Published Power Bi Report - Any way you can have an end user add data to a published report?

Greetings,

I am a fairly new power user, and have created some reports. One of the reports is a list of available candidates (I am in HR), and their information is captured on a table. However, I would like to be able to have end users who have the link to the published report to provide feedback on each candidate. I have a column that is empty (Candidate Feedback), but I don't see a way where you could capture feedback from users and have it then populate. I heard about PowerApps, but they have line limitatons (I have over 30k candidates that can be queried on my PowerBI report) and it is somewhat involved. Anyone know of any workaround? PErhaps a visual someone has developed? Thanks in advance!

You could store the feedback in a SharePoint list, and then create a PowerApp that people can use to add/update that list.  That PowerApp can then be added to a visual on your Power BI report.  A simpler approach might be to make the SharePoint list and then make a link to the selected person from the Power BI report.

If this works for you, please mark it as solution.  Kudos are appreciated too.  Please let me know if not.

Regards,

Pat

Thanks Pat for the quick reply!

I did put it in a Sharepoint list but then realized that you cannot search for more than 5k with a PowerApp and I have a growing number of candidates.

The second option - with the link. That seems like one I have not heard. Is there a way that this link can be automatically generated for each candidate? It would be extremely tedious to populate the excel sheet with links for a large volume of candidates - and I am not even sure how you get a unique link value for each person.

Thanks!

Adam
