Publish to public web do not display filters

Dear PB Community.

We have a requirement, the users needs to access the power bi report without log -in.

To meet this, I am using Embed => Publish to Web (public) option.

The report is working fine, however it is missing all the filters  and tab names

I am using Pro-trail version.

This is similar issue like as in link below:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/68440715/power-bi-difference-between-publish-to-web-and-website-...

some one is suggesting in

  • With Publish to Web to use the filtering on the report, you need to have the Power BI Pro License.

Can some one confirm this is correct. as the filters are very important for my client.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards

Srini

Hi, @SDontula

According to your description, you do not want your customer to sign in and you need to display the filter.

First , for the "Publish to web" features can not support your need,Publish-to-web doesn't display the Filters pane. If you're planning to publish a report to the web, consider adding slicers for filtering instead. This is a limitation in the official document:

For your need , if you need to display the filter and do not want to sign-in. I think you need to try to use "Embed for customer" feature.

Power BI embedded analytics overview - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

The embed for your customers solution allows you to build an app that uses non-interactive authentication against Power BI. Your customers are likely to be external users, and they don't need to sign in using Power BI credentials to view the embedded content. Typically, this solution is used by independent software vendors (ISVs) who are developing applications for third parties.

For more information, you can refer to :

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

Are there step-by-step video instructions somewhere on how to install the app? As far as I understand, a Microsoft Entra ID is required. This looks quite complicated and unclear with an explanation!
Thank you!
