Hi all,
is it possible to prevent user to use advanced editor on a power bi desktop data model?
I have to share my model and users have to create mesures, columns and whatever they want. But i have to be sure that they don't modify the loading SQL script under advanced editor on each table.
It's like a protection on what a user can see or modify. Is it possible?
Regards,
Francesco
@FrancescoSCP , Publish your file, and share the dataset with other users. Ask then to add this one as a power bi dataset. They will only get the visualization tab option

Hi,
thanks to all but that's not what i want....
i have to lock some table import so that user can't modify it. I Think it's not possible now.
Francesco
You can create a dataflow they connect to. Or, if that is not an option, you can save the result of your SQL query in a separate file first, and then connect to that.
If this works for you, please mark it as solution. Kudos are appreciated too. Please let me know if not.

Pat
