Project Management Report - Task Completion

Hi All,

Go easy, this is my first ever post!

I need to be able to calculated expected task completion percentage based on TODAY. Eg on Day 3 of a 10 day task, it should be 30% complete in theory. I need a fomula that calculates the current expected completion that changes on a day to day basis? Once I have this I can then compare with actual completion and add to my RAG rating.

Many thanks

Hi @Wharfey ,

You can create column like DAX below.

expected_completion %=DIVIDE(DATEDIFF( [start_date], TODAY(), DAY), DATEDIFF( [start_date], [finish_date], DAY))

Best Regards,

Amy

@Wharfey , Welcome to Power BI Community!

You want something like below Screen shot? if yes so use the below Measure and set it data format to %.

Task Completed = Sum('Table'[Day])/CALCULATE(sum('Table'[Day]),ALL('Table'[Day]))

Hi Tahreem

This is the kind of table view I'm after (below) so essentially all I need is a formula to calculate column E based on the TODAY() function that counts back to the start date and calculates what the percentage completion should be as of the current date. I will then use DAX to determine the Task_Health rating.

thanks again.
