Problem with field formats of longitude and latitude from Excel import

Hello

I spent quite some time trying to figure out how to get a map filled.

It seems Power BI doesn't recognize my latitude and longitude fields from the imported Excel.

I tried settings in Excel and settings of data type, format and category in power bi, but nothing seems to work.

When I use the lat en long fields, power bi converts my columns in "average of latitude" and "average of longitude".

Could the Excel setting of delimiters be important ?  My settings in Excel are comma for decimals and point for thousands.

Can someone provide me an Excel file with working longitude and latitude data, so I can compare the Excel settings used ?

It would be even greater if someone could provide me a .pbix so I can check the settings there as well.

Thanks

Kora

@kora

Here's a sample file - which I know works!

 3rd entry on the page - the link says HeatMapData

When you say "how to get a map filled" - you are not saying you want to create a Filled Map right?

You can only plot regular maps with the Lat and Long.

Here's what you should get with that sample data...
