So I had setup conditional formatting on one of the columns on my table. I updated my PBI desktop and the formatting went away. Now that I tried to set it back it doesn't work. The formatting does not appear on the table. I have attached an image of my conditional formatting. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?
My desktop version is Version: 2.78.5740.721 64-bit (February 2020)
@Icey , unfrotunately not. I'm able to set the color using a range, however I need to do it using a rule where the column has specific values. The original column type was text. At some point I changed it to whole number and probably that broke it along with the other updates I made to the data. I tried changing it back to text to see if that fixed it but it didn't so I don't know what's causing this issue.
Hi @jhern90 ,
If you don't mind, please share me your PBIX file, removing real data and sensitive information, for test.
Best Regards,
Icey
Hi @jhern90 ,
I have tested on my side and it works well. Conditional formatting didn't disappear when pbix file was opened in Power BI Desktop.
This may just be an accident. Please try other files again.
If the issue is still there and you have Power BI Pro license, I suggest you create a support ticket to get further help.
Best Regards,
Icey

@jhern90 the screen short you are sharing is for conditonal formatting but you are saying formatting doesn't appear. Not fully sure what your question is?
I'm not sure upgrading to latest release will have you loose your formatting. I have to test it at my end to reproduct it.
