Hi folks,
There are two tabs on my power bi report that freeze the entire report, crash it and I'm left with the following message. We've been using this dashboard for over a year and this issue started in the last couple of days.
I'm currently using Version: 2.121.903.0 64-bit (September 2023)
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @Pablo_B ,
1. Is the problem occurring after updating the PowerBI desktop?
2. Do you get this error when you try to open the report or do you get the error after opening the report and using it for a while?
3. Do you have multiple pages and multiple visuals that crash on interaction and return this error?
4. Try updating/repairing the Windows.
Best Regards,
Gao

Thanks for your response.
1. The problem occured before the Power Bi Desktop updated. I just updated to the latest version in the hope that it might sort out the problem
2. & 3. I have multiple pages/tabs and I only get the error on 2 of those pages. If I click on one of these two tabs, the desktop app freezes and then crashes. If I publish the report, whoever clicks on those two tabs have their website hang and need to reset.
4. Windows is up to date and according to our IT department, does not need repair.
I'd appreciate any more ideas if you have them.
Hi @Pablo_B ,
Are you using custom visuals?
If so, please try disabling the auto-load of custom visuals and adding the custom visuals again.
Please note that this method includes modifying the Power BI file (PBIX) outside of Power BI Desktop. It is highly recommended to take a backup of your PBIX file beforehand.

Hi Gao,
I'm not using custom visuals - they're just another tab of data with different filters.
Please keep the ideas coming - sincerely appreciate all the help I can get.
Thank you for your quick response. In answer to your points, we do have WebView installed and clearing the cache hasn't helped. Any other ideas please?
@Pablo_B , Make sure you have install web view.
Try these settings
Go to File-> Options and settings -> Options -> Security Option -> and check : Use My Default browser( Visible after scroll)
if needed, clear the cache of the default browser
