Hello There
I want to be able to create a Table in Power BI like this:
| Month | Amount Emp | Entry | Exits |
| Jan | 45 | ||
| Feb | 44 | Steve P. 02 | |
| Mar | 46 | Lara D. 01, Greg G. 25 | |
| Apr | 46 | ||
| June | 45 | Lara D. 28 |
I have already created the first two Columns without any problem.
Now i want to be able to show with name who entered and who left on each month togheter with the date of month. Like Steve P. 02 means that Steve. P left on 2nd of February.
Is it possible to solve this with some measure or is it impossible to it like this?
For the moment i just have a Table visual where i have a year filter on the visual to only show 1 year. My Month field is from the Date table and the Measure to calculate my Total Staff looks like this.
CALCULATE( [Total Adr], FILTER(VALUES(JF_BI_Adr[Entry]),JF_BI_Adr[Entry] <= [EndOfMonth]), FILTER(VALUES(JF_BI_Adr[Exit]),JF_BI_Adr[Exit] > [EndOfMonth]))
In the modeling i have two inactive connections from entry and exit date from the employee table to the date in date table.
Is it possible to write out the names and day of month like this as i wish for?
Hi @Jensej ,
How do we get the date column, name column, amount column and status(entry, exit) column from the original table? Please show some sample data to us.
Best Regards,
Jay
@Jensej , Nor very clear
but a measure like this would do
max(Table[Name]) & " " & Day(Max(Table[Date]))
or
Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.
What is not clear? If you tell me i can try to explain more in detail.
I created a measure like yours but i just get the same Name on every Month and thats from a person that doesnt even have a hire or entry date in that year i have in filter on the page...
Like this i made my measure for Entries
max(Table[Name]) & " " & Day(Max(Table[EntryDate]))
