Queries never apply even for smaller data.
I've tried updating PowerBI to the latest version. And I've tried limiting GA data to 3 days, and one page but the "Apply query changes" dialog box says "Waiting for www.googleapis.com" with no futher outome.
I've been using this connector for a few years now and have not had this issue before.
What am I missing?

I once had wait for about 30 mins for this, and I fixed by update desktop version. You can try update the Desktop first.
And How many rows and columns in your query? Do you make multiple transformations or filters in Power BI Desktop Query Editor? Large data and complex transformation may also lead to long loading time.

First, thanks for the answer.
Yes, I tried updating powerbi desktop.
The query could be quite large as it is requested all landing pages for large site. However I've added two filters (via query editor): one, to limit data to one day, the other to limit data for one page. So that should make the query quite small. However it is when I apply the second filter that everything slows to a standstill.
The odd thing to me is that when I use R to query the api, or do replicate the same query in Data Studio it is reasonably fast.
This leads me to think there's something with the Third Party Connector impacting the query.
Confusingly, the queries seem to be much faster today. I cannot replicate the long wait times.
Has anyone else seen the performance fluctuate so greatly?
