So I am wanting to create a card that displays the previous months retention % based on the current date.
Do I need to create another measure that calculates the % again with the DAX previousmonth function? Or something else.
I have the measures built to calculate the retention % by month (there is a little hiccup with Mar2021 data that will be resolved)
Solved! Go to Solution.
If it will always just be for the previous month you can put a date filter on your card to show "Last 1 calendar month" with your current measure.
If it will always just be for the previous month you can put a date filter on your card to show "Last 1 calendar month" with your current measure.
That is simple enough, but when I apply that to the card for the visual the % does not match up with the table.
I think it has to do with the measure, other values work out fine.
What is your measure?
Retention Pct = DIVIDE([MAU-Amt],[Cumulative NewUsers])
The result you're getting in the card is MAU_Amt / New Users. How are you calculating the Cumulative New Users?
