Preview.Error: The type of the current preview value is too complex to display

I have this error when I am trying to edit quries in Power Query Editor.

For the table "Transaction Lines", it can be shown in "Data" mode. However, it cannot be displayed in Preview Mode in Query Editor.

Hi @matthewtian777

I can't reproduce your problem with the lastest version: 2.73.5586.561 64-bit (September 2019).

Could you upgrade the version to see if problem still occurs?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-latest-update

What is your data source?

When you import data into Power BI, you could click on "Edit queries", check if you could see the table.

If the problem occurs after you add custom columns or do some other transformations for the table, please let me know.

In addition, you can see possible causes to this problem from this thread.

Best Regards
Maggie

@v-juanli-msft  I have already updated to the latest version, however, this error still exists. I look at the thread that you sent me, and found that I had the exact same error with another person who was trying to connect with NetSuite. This error has been existed for 3 years, and I don't know who can solve this issue, maybe Microsoft, maybe NetSuite.
