Presenting maps with numerical values and not bubbles

Good day I am trying to create a power bi map that references numerical values instead of bubbles.

For example in the state of florida there were 108 incidents. I would like the map to show 108 in the state of florida instead of a bubble. Is this possible? How would I do this? It would look something like the image below

Hi @dw700d ,

As far as I know, currently it is still not show the data label directly in power bi. But you can try some replaceable ways as follows:

  1. If your data table has both longitudes and latitudes, you can follow this similar issue to create a calculate column and a measure to show the label: Data Labels on Maps
  2. If you are familiar with R script, you can try to use R to create a map to show labels, refer this blog: Map with Data Labels in R
  3. If your data table only has states name without longitudes and latitudes, I'm afraid that it could not show data labels in the map. You can sumbit an idea here or vote the below simliar ideas to help us improve power bi and make this feature coming sooner:

As far as I know, this is still not easy to do.  Please see if the workaround described in this post helps.
